The program modules use predefined measurement parameters such as languages, time, compass type, etc. to represent data. All these parameters can be chosen from the Options window. The Options module is the only module which purpose is to customize the program's data appearance. |
With the help of this module you can choose the main language for all interfaces, the time, the compass types and the measurement mode for the sea and star units, user azimuth and the viewing distance.
Although most of the features are set by default, you can customize them according to your needs and liking.
Parameters:
- Use Computer Time. Select this radio button if you want to use your computer clock for measuring time (it can be useful when you are using a notebook computer).
- Use Local Time. Select this radio button if you want to see the local time.
- Use UTC Time. Select this radio button if you want to see Universal Coordinated Time.
Note. If you can edit your local time, but cannot alter the computer and UCT time, go to the computer setup panel.
- Languages. Select a common language from the list. This is the language the program will use on all interfaces
- Heading. You can choose from three items: N(TRUE), N(MAGNETIC) and N(USER). The first item shows the direction with respect to the geographic north, the second to the magnetic north, the third to the user’s direction defined on the User Azimuth field.
- User magnetic variation. This is the direction with respect to the north defined by the user.
- Altitude/Depth. Select these units from the drop-down list.
- Distance. Select this unit from the drop-down list.
- Size. Select this unit from the drop-down list.
Note. All the changes you have performed on the Options panel are applied to the program at the same time.
