On the Common tab, you are able to search and identify any species that is included in the Encyclopedia. Each entry has at least one photo or movie that represents the animal in action.
The Encyclopedia List
The main part of the Encyclopedia is the list of species. You can find this list on the left-hand side of this tab. Use the scroll arrows to browse the list and select a required species. After selecting a species, you can see its image on the top of the list.
Every species has at least one quality image (sometimes a few) and some of them have short video segments to introduce you to the species in motion.
A number of images for a selected species are represented by the line of icons at the bottom of the image frame. By clicking on an icon, you see the corresponding image. If the icon line consists of a frame icon, this means that there is a video segment for this species. In order to view the video, you have to click on the frame icon and point the cursor over the image frame. Now, the cursor looks like a black arrow ( ). Click the image with this cursor and the video will play. The cursor changes its appearance to a black square ( ) . By clicking the movie frame with this new cursor, you can pause the video.
You can search the species by name from the species list. Click the text line at the top of the list. Type the first letters of the species’ name. The list will be positioned so that the most appropriate entry is returned.
