The possible location of a given animal at various sites can be detected with the help of the Map tab. Using this tab, you can find the regions where the species has been observed.
A detailed map is located on the left-hand side of this tab. You can scroll through it in order to get the best view.

You can browse the map using different scales in search of various sites predefined by the program. You may as well scan through the places you’ve chosen yourself, adding new sites and their characteristics to this module. You can also specify the Longitude and Latitude.
If you use a small-size map, you may have some troubles with viewing it because of a large number of various signs concentrated on it. In this case you can choose only the objects you need thus reducing the exceeding number of signs.
Select the site you would like to see on the map. The list of available sites is located at the bottom of the panel Dive Station field.

The list contains only the sites that match the filter criteria set on the Filter tab.
If the list is not yet available, you can add your own diving site to it by pressing an Add Point button and clicking with your mouse in the place on the map where you want to create a new site. You may see the position of the cursor at the bottom of the panel.
On the appearing New Point panel you can write down all the data concerning the newly added diving site.

Note
Use the Advanced button to get an access to more options. The fields containing information about Longitude and Latitude are located at the top of the panel while the information on the average and the maximum depth of water in the diving site is located at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
You may choose the objects you want to see on the map from a range of icons located on the left side of the panel. The selected object types are highlighted in yellow.
You can also browse the map by dragging it with the mouse while holding the left mouse button. Alternatively, you may use the bottom and right-hand scrollers for the same purpose. You can change the map scale by using either the corresponding scroller on the left side of the map or by rolling the mouse wheel.
Note
If you attached some additional maps for different zoom levels, you may switch between them depending on what zoom level you are currently using.
At the bottom right-hand corner of this window you can see the Virtual Diving button. Press it to enter the Virtual Diving module, which provides you with an opportunity to make an exciting virtual underwater adventure at any chosen site.
